For both those who don't like,or don't want,to write but have to,and for keen writers alike, the seemingly innocent five letter word ‘blank' can cause one to break out in a sweat,让其他人请求与他们的心理医生进行紧急约会,all the while friends and colleagues nod sympathetically, fully appreciating the implications of the ‘blank page!' But there is light at the end of the writer's block tunnel,也不包括在当地的酒吧消愁,或者寻找另一条职业道路。没有人必须处理或处理空白页很长时间。即使是那些宁愿赤脚清洗公共厕所也不愿写一段话的人,或者对于那些宁愿在鲨鱼出没的水域里游泳也不愿写文章的人来说,有一些策略可以帮助你对空白页面进行协商。

As an educator,我教过很多学生写作是一项可怕的事业,a phobia, and an experience to be avoided at all costs! They feel they do not have or know the words to express what they want to say,他们被卷入:正确的语法;correct expression;the formalities;the spelling;缺乏思想;and of course the fear of being ridiculed for an idea they have decided to write about.

There is no escaping that writing is a concrete endeavor,by that I mean there is a documented,努力的真实记录,and unless erased,or disposed of in some way,它有可能成为一个永久的记录,并提醒人们所做的努力,warts and all,一旦以任何形式和平台共享或发布,错误是存在的,其他人可以看到……几乎是永久性的。

害怕暴露自己的局限性,and your real or perceived writing deficiencies can paralyze any one of us into a state of writer's block,it can fuel distraction and ignite a self-fulfilling prophecy of self-doubt.However,one strategy that has been particularly useful in helping others to conquer the blank page isbrainstorming.

头脑风暴法 isn't a new fad or writing trend,it isn't a strategy which is accompanied by bells and whistles or any fanfare,这只是一个已经存在了相当长时间的合理过程。我们大多数人都听说过,人们对此有不同的感受。Some think it is an outdated strategy, while others don't have time for it,or choose not to make time for it.然而它可以是一个非常有用的策略来帮助创造性的果汁流动,为了帮助你把笔放在纸上或手指放在键盘上,所以我们把它打开一点。

Put simply, 头脑风暴是产生想法的一种方式,这是一个流动的过程这可以帮助你确定新的观点,新关键词,sort and organise your thoughts and plan the direction of your writing,帮助你通过空白页或作者的一段时间。
The true beauty of brainstorming is its simplicity.没有正确或错误的答案,它可以是一个令人难以置信的解放运动。

你可以把你的头脑风暴记录在一个硬拷贝页面上,on a board,on a document on your computer,在张贴/贴便签时,or use mind mapping software (e.g.Mindjet MindManager)任何最适合您需求和偏好的产品。

重要的是,theBrainstorming Pageis what I call a流体文件.通过流体,我的意思是不需要,或者更确切地说不应该是,一块抛光的碎片,you can cross words/phrases out,添加到文档中,write in any direction,画线连接,色码单词和短语,include images.这是一份文件你应该经常重游,二者都 要添加新想法,提醒你已经产生的想法。

什么头脑风暴不是…

The brainstorming page is not a document that you compile at the beginning of a writing task then hide somewhere at the bottom of some pile never to surface again.

宁愿 它应该作为您当前写作任务的其余部分的参考文件,甚至未来的写作任务.

It may be helpful to visualise a funnel when thinking about brainstorming.

In the beginning of the brainstorming processbe open to inspiration from all sources.想想一个广阔的集水区,把网撒得越远越好。最重要的是,it is important to record and get something on your page as quickly as possible.Even though it may sound obvious,你可以从与主题相关的关键词开始,或者写下你想回答的问题,或者你可能会考虑的特定类型的单词/短语的类型,或者你可能会使用一些搜索词来研究你写作的某个方面。Other resources to use to help get your brainstorming page underway include:

  • 我们经常先上网,根据你写的主题,you could consider blogs,社区论坛,政府网站,教育网站,新闻稿件等
  • 非小说类书籍
  • 小说书籍,小说
  • Newspapers & magazines — headlines and content from the main body of an article
  • Images,来自不同来源的照片,this includes your own photos- sometimes when in the midst of writer's block picking up a camera and taking some photos can get the creative process going
  • 电视节目,但不仅仅是看电视,actually focusing on a specific aspect,比如一个角色,设置,a scene
  • 你周围的人,who can provide ideas, words and phrases you can add to your brainstorming page.

Just as a side note: It is easy to become focused on engaging with material we only find on the Internet,我们忘记了互动,考虑周围的灵感和想法。这有时会使我们变得陈腐。We end up going round in circles, visiting the same websites and directories.

如果你真的被困在头脑风暴的第一轮过程中,你可以头脑风暴的来源/资源,让你去,例如,你可以去一些地方寻求灵感——所以即使你是在头脑风暴的过程,而不是你写作的内容,它会给你一个开始,并帮助你避免在空白页上看太久。

Brainstorming does not have to be isolating or a solo expedition, you do not have to go at it alone.

尽可能多地利用资源,去尽可能多的地方寻找灵感,such as:

  • 咖啡馆,restaurants
  • 图书馆
  • 超级市场,shops
  • 体育场地,事件
  • Museums,美术馆
  • Public transport
  • Parks
  • Medical centres

Even though visiting places might be a little time consuming, you might be surprised how different your experience is when you visit these places with the specific purpose of collecting/generating ideas.

在头脑风暴活动的早期阶段,我总是鼓励我的学生接受一切。

Don't over think whether or not the word,短语或想法应该在那里,just write it down.

This is not the filter stage,不是让我们考虑一下这个想法的优点,就像漏斗的末端一样,它是关于尽可能多的收集,尽你所能写下来,as quickly as you can (in the first instance at least)!头脑风暴是关于创造性,识别并记录所有可能引发另一个想法或新方向的可能性,然后引导到下一个阶段,在那里我们可以参与排序和选择性的过程。

以这种方式进行头脑风暴可以让我们享受自由,让我们的思想和想法尽可能地牵强,而不受约束和判断。

There is absolutely no place for judgement during the brainstorming process, especially in the initial stages. 它允许我们用我们的思想和思想运动和自由。

Once you have collected what you feel is adequate information and ideas for a start,(记住威廉希尔足球盘口你可以,并且应该,在整个写作任务中,继续添加到头脑风暴页面)。你可以开始分类你的想法和短语。这可以手动完成,也可以在MindMapping软件的帮助下完成(如果您有可用的话)。Using strategies such as colour coding ‘like or similar' terms or phrases,也就是说,逻辑上可能属于同一类别的术语或短语,或具有共同点的单词,例如,words that might be helpful in describing a character in a book.您甚至可以剪切和粘贴类似的单词/短语或可以一起使用的单词/短语到新文档中,re威廉希尔足球盘口member you also can include images on your brainstorming page

A word of caution: If you start with a very narrow,经过仔细考虑和构建的限制性头脑风暴列表,仅提供裸骨,in terms of words or phrases you can draw on,then you have very little content to feed and refuel the creative thinking process and limited content with which to sort, classify and refine ideas.这很可能是作家沮丧的原因。

一个重要的 advantage of the brainstorming process is that you do not need to be concerned with right or wrong answers,它是一种帮助产生想法和单词/短语/视觉效果的策略,可以开始你的写作活动。在头脑风暴任务结束时,not only do you have a list of words/phrases/images that have helped you to make a start,但是你也有一个资源,你可以在写作任务的其他阶段和其他写作活动中参考和使用。

所以即使完成了一个非常具体的写作任务,brainstorming can still be beneficial throughout all writing stages,从最初的计划到完善和完成一篇文章。
